Wood decking provides a traditional look with true wood qualities. Three wood decking products are available through our product distribution.

Southern Yellow Pine has Dura Color™, the latest advancement in pressure-treated lumber. Dura Color is treated with an EPA-registered waterborne wood preservative system and is backed with a lifetime limited warranty against termite attack and fungal decay. It’s also compatible with aluminum building products and is less corrosive to fasteners. Dura Color features the industry’s first two-year color assurance limited warranty against fading. You can be confident Dura Color will look good longer thanks to our technology, process and commitment to quality. Dura Color lumber features a natural tint that allows the unique qualities of the wood to remain visible (unlike paint or stain).

  • Dura Color benefits include:
  • More fade resistance compared to dyes
  • Looks new for a longer period of time
  • Environmentally preferred product
  • Natural wood characteristics remain visible

Hardwood Decking

Ipe decking originates from countries in Central and South America. It has natural properties that make it some of the toughest and longest lasting decking material on the market today. Those properties include being insect, mold, and rot resistant. Ipe decking’s strength is found in it’s extremely dense and tight grain. For those looking for a natural wood look, it doesn’t get much better than Ipe.

  • Provide extreme insect resistance
  • Stay cool because it doesn’t absorb heat
  • Repel wood rot & decay
  • Hold up under extreme traffic & heavy use
  • Resist mold & fungus
  • Resist scratches & slivers
  • Have increased slip resistance

Redwood decks are as beautiful as they are dependable. Redwood stays straight and holds finishes longer than most woods. It is also naturally resistant to insects and decay. Redwood decks weather beautifully and will provide lasting enjoyment year after year. This softwood fades to a light grey if left untreated. As with all softwoods regular sanding and staining is necessary for comfortable living on your deck.

Redwood has a long, straight grain that appeals to lots of aesthetically-minded homeowners. In addition, its vibrant red color stands out in any yard or space. To some, it’s primarily the look of redwood that makes it such a desired type of material for a deck or other project.

Many carpenters report that redwood is a relatively easy wood to make into decking. As a softer wood, redwood can be less likely to buck a saw, or stop power tools with hard knots. Overall, this wood is a winner when it comes to creating quality decks or outdoor spaces that will improve the value of a home or property.
